Microfluidic position for Biology and Healthcare

CEA LETI MINATEC – Grenoble (38)

The Laboratory of Biology and Microfluidic Architecture is offering a position to develop microfluidic solutions, especially for industrial customers.

This laboratory is located in the Microtechnologies for Biology and Healthcare Division of CEA-LETI MINATEC, focused on the development of micro and nanotechnologies for applications in the fields of medical imaging, security, in-vitro diagnostic, nanomedicine, medical devices and environmental monitoring.
CEA-LETI MINATEC is a research institution focused on creating value and innovation through technology transfer to its industrial partners. It specializes in nanotechnologies and their applications, from wireless devices and systems, to biology, healthcare and photonics.

The candidate will work in a project oriented and multidisciplinary team, at the interface of microfluidics, material science and biology.

Based on the general expertise of the laboratory, its general mission will cover the following aspects:

  • Conception and development of microfluidic devices with a strong wish and vision to integrate them in system architectures.
  • Based on the expertise of the laboratory, development of instrumental set-up to characterize microfluidic devices
  • Biological validation of these microfluidic devices
  • Take part in the life of the lab

This mission is particularly addressing the domain of medical diagnostic and more precisely Point of Care systems. The projects, financed by industrial customers, have well-defined planning and technical goals.

Applicants will have a PhD in Microfluidics/Engineering/Physics or related disciplines and will be motivated by challenges in a multidisciplinary team. Applicants with prior experience in microfluidic design for biology and healthcare applications will be given highest preference.
