GDR Micro Nano Fluidique

Mois : octobre 2016

Our team Soft-MicroSystems (SMS) located at the Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal in Pessac (F) has improved the knowledge on these surfactants to better control their performances.
In the framework of a European project ERC Proof of Concept 2016, we want to develop surfactant formulations to compensate the lack of business solutions for the users of microfluidic technology. In this context, we are looking for a chemical engineer to perform synthesis, characterization and optimization of surfactant formulations.

This process consists in injecting, in an electret material, via an AFM (Atomic Force Microscopy) tip, electrostatic charges. The obtained charged patterns are then used as trapping sites to assemble electrostatically on the surface, charged or polarized nano-objects initially dispersed in solution (cf. figure below). It is also possible, during the charging step, to address surfaces of tens of cm² using soft lithography based methods which are also mastered in the team.
