Tenure track positions in engineering physics, Polytechnique Montreal
Posté le 6 novembre 2020 dans Offre d'emploi, Offre d'emploi par Pierre Joseph.
Polytechnique Montreal has currently two open tenure track positions in engineering physics. We welcome candidatures in all fields of applied and engineering physics, including optics, fluids physics, microfluidics, energy, and sensing, and their biomedical variants. The department has close ties with research hospitals, and various life science centers in the Montreal area. With 250 faculty and about 8000 engineering students, Polytechnique Montreal (part of the University of Montreal) is the second largest engineering campus in Canada and has a strong research tradition and forms a vibrant, multicultural environment.
The teaching language at Polytechnique is French at the undergraduate level, but candidate selection is not made on language skills. Rather, professors are typically required to commit to learning French before getting tenure.
