Postdoc openings in Microfluidics and Rheology

The Micro/Bio/Nanofluidics Unit (https://groups.oist.jp/mbnu) in OIST (Okinawa, Japan) invites applications for two postdoctoral researchers in the unit. The successful candidate will work in one of the two interlinked areas in the group: (i) Microfluidics and Rheology; (ii) Immuno/biosensing with lab-on-a-chip platforms.

Candidates should have a PhD and prior experience in one of the following areas: microfluidics, rheology, biosensing, electrical engineering, 3D printing, and micro/nanofabrications. For the biosensing position, experience with nanophotonics and plasmonics is required. Candidates will work in a multidisciplinary group of engineers, physicists, chemists, and biologists. Peer-reviewed publications in high quality journals are a must. The postdoctoral appointment is a one-year term position with possibility of renewal for 2 additional years. The position will start as early as April 1, 2021.

OIST is highly international. English is the official language within the University. Okinawa is within 1-3 hr flight time from Tokyo, Shanghai, Seoul, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
